Whenever you choose! Once you're enrolled, you get to choose the pace at which you work through the classes and how often you show up. It all works around your schedule.
Are you on hand to answer my questions if I get stuck?
No, but I take a lot of time and trouble to design and test my courses in such a way that if you work through every single exercise and prompt, you really won't need my help. This is designed to get you to think really deeply about your business and I'm guiding you through the process so you should be utterly clear and raring to go.
Will this walk me through styling my brand?
Not exactly. This will give you utter clarity of vision to know how your brand should look and feel. You'll also gain clear insights into exactly what type, colour, pattern, texture and imagery will support your commercial message. From there you'll be well placed to (preferably) commission a brand stylist or should you choose to, style your own brand, but this course isn't designed to walk you through the design process.
Am I going to learn lots of new stuff in this course?
There's a real mix in this class of teaching you about the messages the brand elements communicate and then encouraging you to implement that for your own brand. I think you'll really love the balance between learning and doing.
Will you tell me what my brand should look like?
Not exactly. But I'll give you all the tools and know how to be able to work that out for yourself with confidence.
I've just had my brand styled, is this course going to make me want to change it all?
Hopefully not! If your new brand identity supports your commercial objectives for your brand, this course will give you the confidence in why it works as well as powerful insights into how to uphold the brilliant work your designer has done for you.
What does this course tell me that I can't find in How to Style your Brand?
One of the wonderful things about an online course is that we can look at content in a variety of ways which means that you'll really be able to embed what you've learned and apply it with confidence. I wrote How to Style your Brand six years ago, so my aesthetic has definitely evolved but the fundamentals of styling your brand remain true. This course includes plenty of up to date case studies showing how branding has evolved and giving you the power to really *feel* what you learn in your bones so that you can apply it to your brand with confidence. I've taken Colour for Creatives, how will this course be different?
Great question! For starters, this is about building a powerful vision for your brand rather than teaching you about the game-changing philosophy of colour psychology, so the outcomes are very different. In terms of content, I've made a conscious effort not to include anything on colour psychology because I want to encourage you to make instinctive choices rather than being tempted to fall back on the 'rules'. If you've already taken colour psychology both courses complement each other really well and I think you'll be fascinated by the fresh take on looking at the impact each brand element creates.
Can I share my access to this class with a friend?
No, thank you for asking. All of my online courses are designed for just ONE user. You're welcome to work through the course as many times as you like, but your login may not be shared with a friend or colleague.
I'm a brand stylist/ designer/ marketer. Can I use any of the exercises in this course with my clients?
No, thank you so much for asking. I'm sure that as a result of this class, what we cover will have an impact on your own unique process. I love that! Before you race off and include something from this course in your own materials I'd ask that you stop, reflect and think about specifically which elements resonated with you and why. You don't need to replicate my work - it won't serve you. Instead, give yourself space to filter this and use to elevate and inspire your own thinking.
